26th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. "Marade" in Denver

Yes, we said “Marade”...combine March and Parade and you get Marade!  The 26th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Marade is set to kick off a day of remembrance and celebration to honor the legacy of Dr. King, Jr. on January 16th, 2012.  Starting at the “I Have a Dream” monument in City Park and ending at Civic Center Park, the MLK Marade in downtown Denver will end with a brief program and a birthday cake for Dr. King, Jr.

On April 4, 1985 legislation was signed into law, making the birth date of Dr. King, Jr. a Colorado holiday and from that time forth, the MLK Marade has been held in his honor.  Join fellow marchers and parade fans in commemorating the legacy of MLK in the Mile High City in one of the largest MLK Day celebrations in the US.
