Participate in a Denver holiday tradition by attending the annual Parade of Lights.
Denver does the holidays in a big way each year, especially during the start of winter. Although the sun may be setting earlier, the Mile High City still shines brightly in the evening with thousands of lights. Feast your eyes on the Denver Parade of Lights, one of the city’s oldest holiday traditions!

December 5th at 8 PM
December 6th at 6 PM
With the stunningly lit City and County Building and the Denver skyline for a background, thousands of people will gather, both to watch the action and march down the two mile route. Marching bands, classic cars, beautiful floats, and more will be covered in lights and spread holiday cheer, as they wave, dance, and serenade the crowds. Santa and Major Waddles the Penguin will make their annual appearance as well. This year marks a special milestone for the Parade of Lights, as it’s the parade’s 40th anniversary!
The Renaissance Denver Hotel would love to be a part of your holiday celebrations! Our location is just minutes away from the parade route. Before the parade, stop by our Elevate Lounge for some hot cocoa and your favorite Starbucks coffee.
